About CinDaily
Welcome to the CinDaily blog, a pre-cursor of exciting things to come. A long list of people concerned about media in this region have banded together to begin a comprehensive, thoughtful online and print paper news service written by experienced journalists who care about our community.
If you are looking for coverage about murders, fires, car accidents, Brittany Spears and cows on the loose – this, frankly, is not the place. There are other places for that.
CinDaily is about the bigger picture. It’s regional news, sports, politics, arts, music, health, science, business and how what is happening in the world affects Cincinnati. And we won’t stop there. Look for what’s going on here and explanation about why. Plus, what local events affect you and how do they affect you? Through experienced journalists, readers, we hope, will turn to CinDaily for the context missing from our local media. Our agenda is news – good or bad. And we have the tools and the experience to tell you the real story, minus the hype.
CinDaily’s mission will be to provide Greater Cincinnati, including Northern Kentucky, a thoughtful, creative news and information service with a primary focus of sharing with our readers stories that are not typical of today’s media landscape.
CinDaily will include a comprehensive Greater Cincinnati news service, focusing on non-partisan, amoral and non-ideological and locally-based news. Catering to Cincinnati’s younger news consumer, CinDaily – a non-profit corporation merged with iRhine, Inc. – will also include coverage for all audiences incorporating original articles, stories, photographs, videos and Podcasts created by a combination of staff writers, editors, photographers, videographers, technologists and freelance contributors, plus utilize links to quality local blogs, RSS feeds and other news outlets.
Though a launch date has yet to be announced, CinDaily aims to become a reliable, clear editorial voice for Greater Cincinnati – and soon – through the accurate and timely reporting of news and telling the stories about our region. To do that, we will utilize the area’s vast reporting and technology talent.
This blog is a way to get the news of our progress to you. Many have asked about it already and this is our way of letting you know how things are going. Check back (or subscribe to our feed) for updates about the project and on CinDaily’s intentions and progress as we move forward. Be looking for exciting news in the coming weeks, including a list of familiar and highly-qualified award-winning journalists associated with this project.
